Automatic shaft unloader

In order to unload aluminium shafts produced by Nakamura CNC turning centres without the need for an operator or a robot, an unloading device was designed internally. This device maximizes the productivity of the machine and guarantees that the shaft surface will not be damaged. The shaft is pushed through a tube directly from the rear spindle towards a receiving station using compressed air. The shaft then rolls onto a slider bed. The system interfaces with alarm and  cycle start signals of the lathe to complete the integration of the application into the production process.

In line dimensional control

On small components manufactured for clients with automatic assembly lines where halts are particularly unwelcome, the complete absence of foreign bodies and 100% checks of some measurements are necessary: on request, we will check the entire batch at the pre-packaging stage using a In order to increase production line efficiency, a 2-axis dimensional control portal is used to measure the external diameters of pieces to a tolerance of a thousandth. A high precision Aeroel XLS80 laser is used to measure diameters, subsequently interpolated with the position values supplied by the electric linear axis. The measurements are then passed to the lathe CN where they are used to automatically correct the tool offsets, thus compensating for wear and mechanical heat dilation.

Typical products for which this service is available are screws, shafts, plugs and pins with a diameter between 3 and 35 mm and a length between 8 and 80 mm.

100% in line controls, measurements and selection

100% in line controls (off machines) can be implemented wherever a particular product type or end-use requires it: dedicated measuring stations are put in place where the operator, in parallel with other normal sample checks, checks the measurements specified by the client for every piece produced.

Handling pieces and customised packaging

We adopt customised solutions for handling special pieces where particular care must be taken to protect the surface. Using classical egg trays, boxes with plastic separators, customised crates or packaging direct at the machine, Fastop S.r.l always provides the best possible solution to your logistical requirements.
